About Us

We are proud to call Hamilton home. We are a local company co-owned by Matthew Benedetti, born and raised Hamiltonian, and Laura Schmidt, a Saskatchewan export and now a Hamilton lover. We are inspired by a family history of craftsmanship, entrepreneurial ventures, and skillful, industrious laborers.

Matthew has been in the woodworking industry for 14 years and has spent most of his life working with his hands: crafting, sculpting, and building things since childhood.  After working in the construction trades, Matt graduated from the Woodworking Center of Ontario at Conestoga College and began working in a cabinet shop to gain some experience in the field.  He brings to the table a varied skill set of fine woodworking, cabinet making, and years of experience in the construction and renovation industry.

In the spirit of being family owned and operated, Laura takes care of the bookkeeping, invoices, and emails as well as swinging a hammer from time to time.

We take as much pride in our work as you take in your home. Whether it’s a finely crafted piece of furniture or the transformation of an entire room, our work is fuelled by our commitment to genuine, honest quality.
